Maybe you feel a bit down and sad today, you don’t even know why. You feel uncertain about the future and about your dreams and your goals. But one thing that you can be sure of is that the Lord cares! You are important to him and he wants to know how you are doing. You are not only a number for him, but he knows you and he loves you. And even if nobody else really cares about you, Jesus does.
He is full of love and compassion just as when he still walked on this earth. You read about this in the bible in Matthew 9:36.
But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were weak, and were scattered everywhere, like sheep having no shepherd.
Jesus saw the people and his heart was touched about their state. They weren’t happy and strong. They didn’t know where they belonged!
And Jesus is still the same today. He looks at you and his heart is moved about the sadness of your heart. And he says to you today:
My child, do not turn away your face in shame. Do not try to hide your feelings from me. I do not condemn you or put you down. I love you so much and I want you to know that I am here for you right now. Just give me all your hurts and all your frustrations. Lay them down before me now. Just tell me what weighs you down and I will touch your heart afresh. I want to give you all the acceptance that you are lacking. And I want to fill you afresh with the assurance that you don’t have to pretend something for me, but you can be real as I know you and I love you the way you are. With all your flaws, all your failures and with all your weaknesses. Just rest in my arm afresh and let me do the good work in you that only I can do.
